Aldric Starweave

The Patriarch - Royal Court Wizard - The Tywin Lannister of wizards

Age: 73 (appears 60)

“Seven generations of Starweaves have guided this kingdom through wars, plagues, and political upheaval. Your grandfather will not be the one to break that chain because his grandson is having a tantrum.”

Aldric Starweave stands as a monument to magical excellence and unwavering tradition. His silver hair and beard are meticulously groomed, his grey eyes as sharp and evaluating as they were in his prime. He carries himself with the absolute certainty of a man who has been proven right for half a century, always dressed in the deep blue and silver robes of his office.

As the Royal Court Wizard, Aldric has guided the kingdom through wars, political upheavals, and magical crises with ruthless efficiency. He’s a master of protective wards and defensive magic, an expert in the political enchantments that bind contracts and detect lies. His true strength lies in leveraging the entire Starweave Library as his personal arsenal.

To Aldric, individuals are pieces on a chessboard - including his own family. He’s not cruel for cruelty’s sake, simply pragmatic to the point of coldness. Emotion is weakness. Sentiment is for lesser families. The Starweave legacy is everything, and personal desires are irrelevant.

On Blastran’s Rebellion

Barely registers in his awareness. When pressed, he dismisses it: “The boy has talent. He’ll realize he’s wasting it and return. They always do.” He hasn’t personally spoken to Blastran since the Morfumple incident, seeing no need to dignify the tantrum with attention.

Current Situation

Still serves as Court Wizard with no signs of retirement, quietly grooming Marcus to skip Cornelius’s generation entirely - an unspoken truth that everyone knows but no one states.
