Description
The Potions Classroom is a specialized teaching space dedicated to alchemy and potion-making, one of the more practical branches of magical study. Rows of workstations fill the room, each equipped with a burner, distillation apparatus, mortar and pestle, and various containers for mixing ingredients.
The air perpetually carries a complex mixture of scents - herbs, minerals, and the occasional acrid smell of a failed experiment. Shelves along the walls hold jars of ingredients, carefully labeled and organized by the instructor. A larger demonstration station at the front allows the professor to show proper techniques to the entire class.
Safety is paramount here, as potion-making can be dangerous when done incorrectly. Ventilation enchantments draw away toxic fumes, and protective barriers can quickly isolate any workstation where something goes dangerously wrong. Students wear protective aprons and are instructed in proper handling of volatile substances.
