The Sun God
Pelor is the god of the sun, light, and healing. Revered across the world as a benevolent and radiant deity, he watches over the living from above, his warmth sustaining crops, driving back darkness, and offering hope to those in despair.
Worship
Pelor is one of the most widely worshipped gods in the world. His temples are open, sunlit places where the sick and weary come for healing and comfort. His clerics wear white and gold, and his holy symbol is a sun with radiating beams. Dawn prayers are central to his faith, and his followers believe that every sunrise is Pelor’s promise that darkness will never last.
The Everflames
Pelor’s most enduring legacy in the mortal world is The Everflames — ordinary people born with a fragment of his divine spark in their soul. This gift traces back to an ancient love story: Pelor fell in love with a mortal woman named Elira, and bestowed a spark of his divine fire upon her. The spark changed her forever, and its echo has passed through generations since, igniting in seemingly ordinary people when fear or fury awakens it.
The Everflames are both blessed and cursed. Their fire grants incredible power, but fire cannot be controlled — not even by the god who gave it. Even Pelor could not save Elira from what his gift became.
Nature
Pelor is not a god of war or wrath. He shines from afar — constant, reliable, and warm, but distant. His followers say that when the sun sets a little slower, a little sadder, Pelor is watching the world below, remembering what he lost.
