The Ghost Walkers perform The Fold
Aldors Tower
A kobold delivers a gift from Mihilu: a Dragon Whistle, usable once to call draconic aid. The party leave and Aldor the Wizard clears his memory of the party.
On the Road
The party theorises that Mammon and Orcus have separate interests — the ruby stockpile likely feeds an Orcus summoning ritual. Plans are discussed — the masquerade ball, The Spunny meeting, disrupting the ritual — but nothing is decided.
Godmere
They pass through Dawnvale and arrive in Godmere by midday. The Golden Mile makes clear they’re underdressed for the masquerade. They visit a tailor called the The Silk Claws for attire and masks, then Ironfast Armoury where Bronn upgrades his gear. Barnaby sabotages a helmet during a smith’s demonstration.
Luxor
Barnaby goes to deliver the rubies but discovers they have turned to sand. He pivots and instead pulls out the Letter to Bandits and then the party questions Luxor, a jeweller tied to the ruby trade. He denies bulk purchases with the gems. The questioning gets too pointed, Luxor turns defensive, and the situation deteriorates. Bronn kills a guard. Barnaby kills Luxor.
Cover-Up
The scene is staged as a robbery — displays disturbed, rubies taken, body left in place (placed into the bag of holding). They leave with information and stolen gems, and a crime scene that may not hold up.
Impersonation
Blastran Starweave discuses himself as Luxor and bumps into Lady Elara Voss while leaving, she reveals that she’s going to the ball tonight and was looking for her earrings, the party deliver.
Session End
- In the Dragon Inn drinking, preparing for the LeBeau masquerade ball and the Spunny meeting
- Ruby–summoning connection confirmed
- Luxor dead; consequences still to come
