Permanent Damage — Session 13
In Session 13, Barnaby crawled inside the bag himself at the well in front of Eldritch College to read The Butchered Words of Kyoss in private. The book began to drink his life-force as he read. He shut the latch.
The bag responded. It folded around him. The wall became the floor; the floor became the ceiling; the cylindrical interior of cobblestone tipped him out toward the small high point of light where the drawstring used to be.
Since that night, the bag opens onto a stone shaft — a well within a well. Cobblestoned walls rise up to a small high point of light. The interior space is intact and Barnaby can still store and retrieve items, but the geometry is wrong, and any onlooker who peers inside sees the well looking back.
Benny LeBeau has seen the change. The book and the rubies were gone before Benny ever looked.
