History
Danton grew up in the shadow of Benny LeBeau’s exile. Though he barely remembers his older brother, Benny’s failure has defined Danton’s entire life. Every lesson, every training session, every family interaction has been colored by the unspoken message: “Don’t be like Benny.”
Saved — Session 12 and Session 13
At The Ball on the night of his 18th birthday, Danton LeBeau signalled to Benny LeBeau that he wanted out. In the confusion of the chandelier fire, he and Blastran Starweave swapped masks — Danton taking Blastran’s, Blastran taking Danton’s. Danton slipped out through the servant passages with Benny LeBeau, Zog Ironheart and Callie Tosslecobb, and was spared The Fold.
In the dawn after, in Session 13, Benny LeBeau gave him fifty gold and entrusted him to Callie Tosslecobb’s care to be taken safely out of Godmere. They embraced. The brother Danton LeBeau had been told ran away had, in fact, run for him.
He is now somewhere on the road with Callie Tosslecobb and an unconscious Strom, unaware that his father Lord Javier LeBeau has bargained Benny LeBeau to Mammon in his place, and unaware that Zog Ironheart may not have survived The Sanctum.
